Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Abid Noman
Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Abid Noman is a distinguished Islamic scholar, educator, and public intellectual from Faisalabad, Pakistan. He descends from the respected family of Mufti Muhammad Amin (رحمه الله), a prominent religious figure of his time. Dr. Noman holds a doctorate in Quranic Exegesis and has undertaken extensive academic and traditional studies in the fields of Islamic sciences, Arabic language, comparative religion and linguistics. His formal education includes multiple postgraduate degrees in Islamic Studies, Urdu, and English from well-regarded institutions in Pakistan and internationally.
A certified Hafiz al-Qur’an, Dr. Noman received his traditional Islamic training through the Dars-e-Nizami curriculum and holds advanced ijazāt (authorizations) in Hadith, Fiqh, and Tasawwuf from recognized scholars. His work bridges the classical Islamic tradition with contemporary academic discourse, and he has lectured widely in Pakistan, the UAE, the UK, and the United States on themes such as interfaith dialogue, ethics, spirituality, and Islamic thought.
Dr. Noman is the founder and president of Abraisham Welfare, an internationally recognized organization committed to interfaith harmony, education, and social development. He currently serves as Director of Education at the Islamic Academy of Plano (USA) and as Khateeb at Government College University, Faisalabad, where he also lectures on Islamic finance and related subjects.
In addition to his teaching and community leadership, Dr. Noman is an accomplished author and researcher. He has written several scholarly articles and books addressing contemporary issues in Islamic thought and serves as the founding editor of Abraisham International, a bilingual journal published in the UK since 2011. His media presence includes regular contributions to platforms such as QTV, Noor TV (UK), Sohni Dharti, and Radio Pakistan.
